1. Product Overview The high voltage filter FC device is a passive filter device, which has two functions: suppressing the harmonic current of the power grid and compensating the reactive power of the system. The suppressed harmonic of the power grid mainly includes 3, 5, 7, 11, 13 and more harmonics. The device is installed on the bus or load side, with convenient equipment combination and stable performance. Equipped with vacuum contactor or thyristor switch, intelligent automatic switching. It is widely used in electric power, metallurgy, electric iron, aluminum plant, chemical industry, coal mine, rolling mill, electric arc furnace, high-voltage motor pump station and other industries with large harmonic generation.
2. Product features The high voltage filter FC device is applicable to harmonic treatment of 6kV, 10kV, 35kV and 110kV power grids. According to the harmonic content and reactive power data, the filter compensation is designed through computer simulation, and high-performance filter capacitor and filter reactor are used to suppress and absorb harmonic current, reduce the distortion rate of harmonic voltage, reduce line loss and reduce the harmonic current, improve the power factor.
3. Working principle The high voltage filter FC device is mainly composed of switches, filter capacitor, filter reactor, resistor, discharge coil, zinc oxide arrester, etc. It’s made into cabinet type or fence type according to the needs of users. In addition to filtering, the filter also plays the role of reactive power compensation. LC filters mainly include single tuned filter, high pass filter, C-type filter, etc. In practical application, several groups of filters are designed according to the distribution and size of harmonic current and reactive power demand. Each group of filters has low impedance corresponding to a certain harmonic, high pass filter has low impedance to harmonics above the cut-off frequency, and C-type filter has the characteristics of wide tuning frequency band and low loss.

Compensation Method of Dynamic and static combination 1.Overview (1) Although SVG can realize reactive power compensation and harmonic control at the same time, in the case of high harmonic content, it’s very high investment cost to use SVG alone to realize harmonic control. (2) Frequent changes of high power load will cause severe disturbance to the grid, such as electricarc furnace, electrified railway, medium frequency furnace, rolling, photovoltaic and wind power generation occasions and so on. This kind of impact load will cause the voltage fluctuation of the grid. Even a small power electric arc furnace is connected to a smaller grid, the voltage fluctuation, flicker (sometimes also includes frequency fluctuations) and the three-phase voltage unbalance are caused, which is harmful to other users of grid. (3) The combination of SVG and FC is a kind of cost-effective optimization compensation scheme, which not only can filter out the harmonic, but also to provide partial capacitive reactive power, and the whole system of equipment investment is reduced.
